MAKIKITA QUYKUWAY

Makikita Quykuway means “Give me your hand” in Quechua, the ancient language of the Incas. Guided by this principle, the organization has brought together a network of compassionate social services professionals dedicated to improving the lives of the poor and underserved in Peru.

Makikita Quykuway is a non-profit organization established in 2006. It is recognized as a non-profit legal entity by the Peruvian government and is located in Huancayo, Peru. Makikita Quykuway works closely with relevant non-profit organizations, government institutions and foreign volunteers to improve the life of the underserved Peruvians.

Our Mission

Makikita Quykuway’s mission is to improve the quality of the poorest people in Peru by supporting local non-profit organizations and utilizing the skills and talents of foreign volunteer workers. Through its work Makikita Quykuway aims to enable personal growth, professional development and stimulating cultural immersion for foreign volunteer workers and improve the lives of the undeserved through care giving and skill-building.

Our Aims

      • Provide safe happy childhood to Peru’s children regardless of social status
      • Help orphans and other underserved children and teenagers built lasting professional skills to improve their lives
      • Offer basic health care and information about prevention to those who don’t have access to it
      • Facilitate foreign volunteers’ personal and professional growth through cultural immersion and meaningful volunteer assignments
